And in the “you learn something every day” department - turns out there’s a decent Extension for Thunderbird that allows you to access various WebMail accounts. Most decent WebMail services already offer POP or IMAP support, the glaring exception is HotMail, actually requiring you to access their site to read mail. Not that HotMail’s got a particularly compelling feature set, but as long as I’ve got an account there…
